Ayurvedic rationale
Traditionally, fresh ginger is valued for kindling digestion (agni) and for balancing Kapha and Vata.
Nutrition notes
Studies show that ginger, mostly tested as a supplement, may ease some types of nausea, especially in pregnancy, though evidence for other digestive benefits is still limited.
Good to know
Never give honey to babies under 12 months, and anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication should talk with a healthcare provider before using ginger regularly in larger amounts.
